Syed Azhar, Mr

With over 30 years of private sector experience, Azhar has held various management positions in the services and manufacturing sector organizations; pharmaceutical, cement, telecommunication, and intellectual capital management. Having a broad area of responsibilities, ranging from planning, structuring, establishing, and managing an organization, he has a track-record of successful business management. Some of his salient accomplishments include the establishment and management of (a) a British multinational Marketing and Buying Services organization, (b) one of Pakistan’s leading Telco, and (c) a Global HR Consulting and Outsourcing Company.

Over the past 10 plus years, he is associated as a Lead Consultant with HRS Global, an innovative HR Solutions Provider that offers businesses integrated HR Services and Solutions in the areas of (1) Professional Recruitment (2) Consulting and Advisory (3) HR Business Process Outsourcing, and (4) Managed Staffing/3P Contracting business (5) Training.

Azhar has been instrumental in the development and implementation of recruitment initiatives for several fortune 500 companies, as well as large Pakistani conglomerate, sourcing talent from the US, India, Pakistan, Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates.

Azhar has been the Group Vice President of a leading Pakistani Telco, where he held various strategic roles. He was tasked with designing and integrating the functional business units, and human capital management functions – significant accomplishments include business process reengineering, departmental integration, employee attrition and cost-per-hire reduction, change management, and sales and productivity enhancement.

Prior to this assignment, he was associated with the group's cellular company. As a Regional General Manager, he managed the operations of the profit center, which was generating over 70% of the total revenue for the company. He supervised the Customer Operations, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Administrative functions.

Earlier, he held the position of the Country Manager in Pakistan for Inchcape Pacific, a British multinational Marketing and Buying Services Organization. He was responsible for the establishment and management of all phases of business including Sourcing, Operations, Merchandising, Logistics, QA, Accounting, Human Resources, and Administration. With complete P&L responsibility, and a high degree of independence, he exceeded the budgeted financial objectives, increased the market share of the company, and established its leading position in the market - the company secured 30% market share in the third year of its operations.

As an HR Manager of Merck Sharp & Dhome Limited, a subsidiary of Merck & Co, Inc, and Head of HR of a Cement Company, Azhar was responsible for all aspects of human capital management.

Azhar has been consistently recognized for his team building, human relations, organizational skills, and leadership abilities.

Faisal Qamar, Mr

Faisal Qamar is the head of HRSG BPO, a subsidiary of HRS Global and the Group CFO. He is the lead facilitator for training programs in areas of Comp & Ben including job analysis, salary surveys and designs, payroll management, taxation and law etc.

As a lead in the Business Processing Department, he has a broad purview which includes development of policy procedure manuals; market research; organizational development; Re-engineering and redesigning of HRM systems; Organization Development, Compensation & Benefits, Technical Auditing of HR work package and Recruitment.

Faisal's experience in business and consulting is wide. His approach combines more than one and half decades of successful roles as a senior corporate officer with global responsibilities to provide unique perspective to clients of all sizes and industries. Faisal utilizes his expertise to develop, design and implements innovative business and performance enhancement strategies / systems in the area of HR and Finance and initiatives that help companies to capitalize on business opportunities and overcome critical barriers to success.

Faisal is a chartered Accountant. He has worked in various local and international conglomerates managing Finance and Operations. Prior to consulting Faisal held various executive positions with well-recognized companies including Siddco Group of Companies, UAE where he worked as the Group Chief Operating Officer. He also worked as the CFO and Co- Secretary for Pakistan Textile City Ltd and he was also employed by Arfeen Group of Companies as the GM Finance Department.

Medeeha J. Khan is a Senior HR Consultant and Business Manager for HRS Global. She is the Director of Learning and Organization Development for HR Academy™, the training arm of HRS Global.

Ms. Khan has worked for reputable organizations including Pakistan Services Limited (Owners and Operators of Pearl Continental and Marriott Hotels in Pakistan) as Corporate Head of Human Resource Development; Levi Strauss & Co. Inc, USA, as the HR Head for Pakistan and Bangladesh; and TetraPak Pakistan as the HR Manager. As a HR generalist, she made major contributions in the area of Recruitment, Comp & Ben and OD.

Her comp & ben experience includes restructuring of organizations comp & ben; salary surveys including benchmarking as well as job analysis & mapping etc. with Mercer & Hay for benchmarking. She also has in-depth experience of Broadbanding pay philosophy, Rewards Management, Long term incentive plans and Pay for Performance.

She has been trained and certified for various HR & Leadership programs from leading institutes of U.S, Singapore and UAE. In addition to her assignment as an HR Manager and a Corporate Trainer, Ms. Khan has always acted as a key change agent, developing & implementing HR effectiveness. In her 14 years of professional experience with corporate sector as a HR practitioner, she has participated in various national & international HR development events. She has co-convened for TQM bureau of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and has been the Honorary Dean for the Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management in years 2003 & 04, a Speaker and faculty member at LUMS, COMSATS University, Superior University, NCBA, University of Lahore, Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management ITHM, Iqra University, IMS, SMEDA and PIQC, been a Presenter and Moderator for HR Seminars. Her recent training engagements were with UNDP, Stoneage®, Descon, Sony, Unilever, Metro, Omantel, Service Industries, Roshan Packages, Nestle and PTCL. She also has trained Professionals from Pepsi, ICI Akzonobel, Moody’s Intl , Stylo , Royal Palm Golf and Country Club , Warid telecom, MCB and many other leading organizations.

Ms. Khan’s core areas of practice are facilitating and managing change processes in organizations, partnering with change champions, developing and implementing HR strategies, policies and processes, innovation activation and facilitation in organizations, developing programs for recruitment, development & retention of talent, employee. She has done her HR specialization from Cornell University NY, USA and is a Certified HR Professional by NUST.

Mansoor Ali is a senior professional with over 20 years of broad-based functional business experience in varied industries. Mansoor has played key roles in management teams and as change agent with track record of success in enhancing organizational capability, results and reputation. Currently, he is the Group Director of Al- Jomaih, UAE. Al-jomaih Automotive is the largest GM dealer in the Middle East, and one of the largest in the world. He is also the Head of HR for Pepsi Cola International, Saudi Snacks. Mansoor is also the Strategic Transformation Facilitator, Trainer & Coach at People co. He has facilitated and trained a number of senior executives and managers effectively deal with significant leadership and change-management issues.

Prior to this, he has held senior positions at a number of prestigious organizations including Henkel as the Director HR & OD; Pepsi Cola International as Regional Organization Capability Director. He has worked in various top management capacities for Exxon Chemical.

Currently Ali Imran is the HR Direcror for Johnson & Johnson Pakistan. He is also managing cluster roles for Bangladesh and Afghanistan and regional focused role of leading the performance management for JnJ Middle East.

Dr. Malik’s experience takes in all dimensions of business operations starting from sales management, product/brand management, resource development & linkages, communication jobs like advertising, media, PR and events, commercial deals & contract negotiations and going up to the level of visioneering through strategic planning. Having done his MBBS and then MBA with major in marketing from University of the Punjab, Dr. Malik is heading a Sports Management Company based in UAE titled as Chapal Sports.

Previously, he has held positions of Senior Manager Marketing at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, GM Corporate Marketing with Marriott Hotels International (Pakistan), Executive Director Marketing & Media and then Vice President Commercial with WorldCall Telecom Limited (An Omantel Company) , and Director Marketing & Communications at Pakistan Cricket Board.

During the span of 15 years in professional world, Dr.Ahsan Malik to his credit has the following major achievements:

  • Launch of an Endowment Fund worth USD 100 million targeting donations from major international and national donor agencies, funds and individuals at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
  • Planned and executed an international campaign titled as ‘Destination Pakistan’ under the flag of PTDC to promote the homeland as preferred location for international travelers.
  • Acquisition of the Wireless Local Loop License for WorldCall telecom Limited and then launching the first ever WLL phone in Pakistan with a total project cost of USD 75 million.
  • As Team Lead, managed the complete international tendering/bidding process and closing the 5 year Media Rights deal for PCB with total value of USD 140 million.
